Social obstacles of development

Merdeka!! Merdeka!! 31st August comes again.. The most meaningful day for us....
After 53years become an independent nation, our country is now moving towards development in various sectors. But there are barriers to achieve the development. Now, we want to discuss the social obstacles of development. The two obstacles that we will discuss are poverty and illiteracy.

Prime Ministers of Africa and India are now sitting together in the meeting room, discussing about the challenges of the development faced by their countries.
PM of Africa: Africa has the potential to be developed but the major problem is the poverty level. The poverty level is very high among the citizens in India.
PM of India: Yes, my country also is facing the same problem. Many of the citizens have low level of education. This becomes the barriers for them to develop themselves for better life. When people don’t have education, they will be oppressed by the others.
PM of Africa: The education is the weapon for development. As you know, most of the society members in my country are also facing healthcare problems. When they have this problem, they cannot perform their work properly. This will low the level of human capital in the country and leading to decrease in the level of productivity. By end, it will hinder the growth of the country because citizens cannot make any contribution for the development of the country.
PM of India: Here, poverty is the main issue. When poverty happens in society, it will bring to the low level of savings, investment and economic growth. When all this spread in the society, this will become the social barriers faced by government to develop the country. Usually, when people had been in the poverty problems, it will low the level of education and healthcare. When the people lack of education, they cannot develop themselves to the higher level. Lack of healthcare will hamper the development because government needs to concentrate on the process to cure it. When most of the society members have no ability to work because of health problems, this will automatically lead to decrease in human capital. At the end this will low the productivity of society.
PM of Africa: In my opinion, the illiteracy problem also will hinder the development process. There are almost 900million illiterate adults in the world. Illiteracy is like a curse on mankind.
PM of India: As you’ve already rise this issue, there is just one thing that I can say about illiteracy. The more the illiterate people in the country, the harder it will be for the country to develop.
PM of Africa: That’s absolutely true. This fact can be clarified as all the developed countries like America and Canada have very low illiteracy rates, whereas countries like Bangladesh, Pakistan and Bhutan have a very high rate of illiteracy.
PM of India: Whenever we talk of making a country a developed nation, it should keep in mind that without literacy our efforts in every field would be useless.
PM of Africa: hmmm..yes..it will be useless. Literacy empowers the citizen of the country with weapons of rational thinking, liberty, cohesiveness and mutual understanding. Without literacy, the information cannot be conveyed accordingly to the people as the people cannot read. It will lead to the problem to spread knowledge to the people. Society will leave behind as they have lack of knowledge. They cannot survive in this competitive world. Illiteracy also is a major contributor, not just to poverty and unemployment, but also to the spread of diseases such as HIV/Aids.
PM of India: My country is developing but at a very slow rate, this is not the fault of a corrupt government but it is due to this problem of illiteracy only. Literacy enables a person to think rationally, to be understanding, to be more responsible and to make his/her own decisions. A literate person is aware of all his fundamental rights and duties. Literacy is the ultimate solution to fight problems like communalism, terrorism and under development.
PM of Africa: That’s right. Our government is of the people, for the people and by the people, but what is the use if people can not even make the right choice??
PM of India: I think we have to take more efforts to overcome the problem of poverty and illiteracy that become the major obstacles of development. I believe the other developing countries are also experiencing the same situation.
PM of Africa: Let’s fight for the development!!
PM of India: yeah..that’s right. Let’s fight together!!!

Very great discussion between PM Pakistan and India. Where this discussion happens amirah?hehehe.
Creative ideas.. In my opinion, i'm agree about the obstacles in development in term of poverty level. As we know, Current Population of India in 2010 is around 1.15 billion people. So to develop and to managing the biggest population is very difficult. Many population is impact to increase the number of poverty of people. It is because, if many population becoming and the change to develop in decrease so how the countries may develop? surely it is difficult. Unemployment rate also may increase because not have chances to work and don't have many work to do. So, how the countries may develop if the poverty become increase. we can say as simple as word "richer become richer, poor become poorer"..

according to utusan online(25/2/2010), India is also facing social problem, in which 14 people kill themselves every hour in India.more than 100,000 cases of suicides reported in India, representing 10% of suicides cases in the world..um..very serious problem....
the major factors of the occurrence of suicides in India are family and health problem, love conflict, bankruptcy, sudden changes in economy and poverty..
In my opinion, Indians have low confidence and self-worth.They are suffering because of poverty and they are not provided with appropriate health care and education. The people cannot appreciate themselves and it makes them give up to develop themselves..what a terrible situation..
